Above the steep walls of Kyambura Gorge, this lodge looks across one of the geologically distinct sections of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Below the escarpment, a ribbon of riverine forest cuts through the Rift Valley floor, creating an ecological break between gorge vegetation and open savanna. Originally built around a former coffee store, the property uses restored stone buildings and widely spaced bandas that follow the escarpment above the gorge. The main areas contain the lounge, bar, and dining room, while guest accommodation sits apart with clear views into the rift system. Interiors combine timber, woven finishes, and windows that draw in light through the day. It works especially well for chimpanzee tracking because the Kyambura briefing point is close by. Between activities, guests use the pool terrace and viewing points to watch weather move across the valley and the Rwenzori skyline.
