Situated on the eastern bank of the Albert Nile within northern Murchison Falls National Park, the lodge occupies an area of open savanna and riverine woodland. This geographical position provides immediate access to the Buligi game tracks, where high concentrations of elephant, buffalo, and giraffe utilize the grassland. The rebuilt lodge occupies the site of a former state retreat and uses a broad, low rise form suited to the heat of the Albertine Rift floor. Its layout follows a hotel style plan rather than a tented camp model, allowing circulation through sheltered verandas and central internal spaces. That scale gives it a clear role within the northern Murchison circuit, where overland groups, fly in guests, and extended park itineraries often converge. Being based in the Buligi sector also places daily wildlife activities within a short operational radius throughout a multi night park stay.
